.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGES:

- A gradual warm-up will continue into Wednesday.

- Monsoonal moisture will make a return thereafter.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

Northeast Montana under a strong northwest flow with a deep trough
to our east and an upper ridge to our west and southwest. This
upper ridge will become our main weather maker this week, making
for warming temperatures into Wednesday.

The upper ridge also contains lots of monsoonal moisture and will
start drifting our way this week. An upper low off the Pacific NW
coast will nudge this into Montana, specifically our CWA Thursday
evening through Saturday. Precipitable Waters will rise so
thunderstorms with brief heavy rain and gusty winds can be
expected, however the strongest storms may be south of area.

In the meantime, expect mainly clear skies through Monday night.
Moisture from the southwest will gradually stream northeast
thereafter with pops not increasing till Thursday evening.

Clouds and the scattered showers will cool temperatures slightly
Friday. Temps may warm a bit next weekend as the system exits to
our east.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:
Blended NBM 90 into winds for the next two days.

High confidence of high pressure remaining over the area through
Wednesday and therefore dry conditions. Low confidence on
precipitation chances and amounts from Thursday onward.
