.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

- Strong but brief warm up tomorrow.

- Temperatures will remain above normal and gradually lower
through the remainder of the week.

- Next chance for snow and rain is this weekend.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

Temperatures warm tomorrow as large scale ridging builds but is
suppressed by a shortwave moving through the Canadian Rockies and
creating a strong chinook event. The shortwave will briefly
flatten the ridge Monday night.

Once the wave pushes east on Tuesday, the ridge is expected to
rebound keeping temperatures above normal into next weekend. The
ridge moves to the east on Friday with an upper trough expected
next weekend. Models and ensembles have significant differences on
the strength of the trough and whether or not any moisture makes
it east of the continental divide.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:
Lowered day 1 temperatures slightly below NBM. No changes to NBM
otherwise.
