...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of western Parker and
eastern Palo Pinto Counties through 115 AM CST...

At 1227 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lake Palo Pinto, or 15 miles southwest of Mineral Wells, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Mineral Wells around 1240 AM CST.
  Cool and Lake Mineral Wells around 1250 AM CST.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Brock Junction, Adell,
Peaster, Whitt, Santo, Advance, Bennett, Authon, Oran, and New Salem.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 372 and 407.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
