...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern
Anderson County through 500 PM CDT...

At 431 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Elkhart, or 7 miles southeast of Palestine, moving south at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Elkhart around 435 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Redtown, Mound City,
Denson Spring, Salmon, Cedar Creek, Crystal Lake, Slocum, and Broom
City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
