...NWS Damage Survey for May 18th and May 19th Tornado Events...

.Update...After additional review of radar, video, timing, and
more, some changes have been made to the survey tracks in and
around Santo in Palo Pinto and Parker counties. The previous
classification of a tornado in Santo has been changed to
thunderstorm wind damage due to intense inflow of 80 mph winds
into the tornadic supercell.

A multivortex tornado was added southwest of Santo, and the
tornado south of Santo was changed to a single multivortex tornado
with 2 distinct damage areas from simultaneous vortices. The
tornado in Parker County actually looped to the north and the path
was extended.

The total number of tornadoes for the event on the evening of the
18th remains at 7.

This statement also includes information about the 3 weak tornadoes
that occurred Monday afternoon and night along the Red River
counties.
