...NWS Damage Survey Update for April 19th, 2025 Tornado Event...

Update #5

The National Weather Service office in Fort Worth TX conducted
several damage assessment surveys today for the April 19th
tornadic storm event. The teams worked in the evening hours
covering several tornado tracks in 5 counties: Montague, Jack,
Parker, Hood and Erath. A more complete preliminary assessment
will be provided in the next 1-2 days, due to the magnitude of
this event, but below are the preliminary confirmed tornadoes
from today`s storm surveys.

At this time, the total number of tornadoes stands at 9 confirmed
tracks. Additional tracks are still being analyzed, and the total
number of tornadoes will likely increase.

EF-0 Tornado / Southeast of Jacksboro / Est. Peak Winds 80 mph
EF-0 Tornado / Northeast of Jacksboro/ Est. Peak Winds 80 mph
EF-1 Tornado / West of Cundiff / Est. Peak Winds 90 mph

.Erath County...
EF-1 Tornado / Southwest Johnsville / Est. Peak Winds 110 mph

.Parker County...
EF-0 Tornado / Southwest of Weatherford / Est. Peak Winds 65 mph
EF-1 Tornado / Northwest of Weatherford / Est. Peak Winds 110 mph

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF4.....166 to 200 mph
