.DISCUSSION...
Slightly cooler weather conditions are ongoing today, helping to
lower the threat for fire starts across the region. A few showers
and storms have also developed southeast of the DFW Metroplex,
however, widespread wetting rain is not expected.
High pressure will once again continue to build through the rest
of the weekend and persist through the first half of next week.
Hot and precipitation-free conditions may lead to a slight uptick
in IA fires. Winds should remain light enough to preclude any
significant fire spread.
