An isolated shower is possible this afternoon across east Texas
and parts of Central Texas. Otherwise, hot and dry conditions will
continue through next week with highs in the upper 90s to low
100s. The continued hot and dry weather, low afternoon RH in the
20-30 percent range, and worsening drought will keep the fire
threat elevated throughout North and Central Texas into the first
week of September.
