.DISCUSSION...
After a few isolated showers and storms in parts of Central Texas
early this morning, hot and dry weather is expected this weekend
through the middle of next week with highs in the upper 90s to low
100s. The combination of hot temperatures, low afternoon RH in
the 20 to 30 percent range, and worsening drought conditions will
continue to keep the fire threat elevated for the foreseeable
future. In addition, although winds will be light this weekend,
somewhat stronger winds are anticipated next week which could also
aggravate the fire threat.
