Subsidence aloft will keep clear to mostly clear skies with afternoon temperatures reaching the upper 80s to lower 90s. Overnight temperatures will be in the mid 50s to around 60 with the exception of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, where mid 60s are expected. Sunday will feature an elevated threat for fire starts given relative humidity values in the lower 20% range with southerly winds near 15 mph. The main area of concern will be west of I-35 where fuels and weather will come together for this heightened threat. Relative humidities will begin to recover once the sun sets, returning the probability of fire starts to the low category for Sunday night. Hernandez && .LONG TERM... /NEW/ /Monday Onward/ As we begin a new work week, little change in the weather pattern will yield a rinse and repeat forecast through the next 10 days. High temperatures will continue to climb into the mid 80s to lower 90s with overnight temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s. Models are now starting to hint at a pattern shift beyond day 10 as a potential trough enters our region. Although there is low confidence in exact temperatures or precipitation chances, the potential for cooler temperatures and a return of precipitation chances is surely welcomed after what will likely be nearly a month without precipitation. Hernandez && .AVIATION... /NEW/ /06z TAFs/ VFR conditions are ongoing across North and Central Texas thanks to the area of high pressure atop our region. Light easterly winds will persist through the next few hours with a gradual return to southerly winds after sunrise. A few high clouds will stream from west to east, however, impacts to any of the TAF sites are not expected. Hernandez && .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
