Showers and storms move southeast this morning for areas along and east of the James River, with additional isolated to scattered showers and storms east of I-29 this afternoon and evening. Dry conditions expected during the day Thursday, with scattered showers and storms returning for Independence Day into the holiday weekend. Most of the area may see a reprieve Sunday before periods of showers/storms return early next week. Hot and humid conditions expected today through the end of the week, with widespread highs in the 90s Thursday. Near to above average temperatures prevail. Minimum RH values remain above 30%.
