455 FNUS63 KFSD 302140 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 440 PM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025 .DISCUSSION... Mostly dry conditions persist this afternoon beneath the high level cirrus. Temperatures have warmed to the 70s to low 80s while dew points remain in the 50s. Humidity values remain above critical thresholds in about the 30-50% range. Breezy southerly winds remain with gusts up to 15-30 mph. Fuels remain on the greener side but can still see elevated fire danger west of I-29 where locally dryer grasses may be present. Humidity levels will remain above critical thresholds for the rest of the week while highs remain warm in the 80s to low 90s. Southerly winds remain breezy through the week as well. Fire danger is expected to remain at moderate levels given fuels remaining on the green side of things. However, locally elevated fire weather concerns could expand. Be aware of your local conditions and use caution to avoid unintended spark in drier fuels.
