Warmer and more humid conditions begin to build today, with increasing southerly winds. Gusts this afternoon around 25 mph west of the James River. Heat and humidity continue to build through the weekend with temperatures in the 90s and dew points in the 70s. Southerly winds remain a touch on the breezy side in the afternoons through the weekend. Very low chances for showers and storms tonight for portions of northwestern IA and again Saturday night west of the James. Low but more widespread chances return Sunday night into Monday. Better shower and storm chances expected by mid next week.
