This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, central South Dakota, east central South
Dakota, south central South Dakota and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Dangerously hot and humid weather is expected today, with afternoon
heat index values climbing above 100 degrees. Nighttime lows remain
above 70 degrees, offering little relief from the heat.

There is a growing risk for isolated to scattered severe storms this
evening into the early overnight hours. Storms moving east out of
central South Dakota may produce pockets of damaging wind, possibly
topping 75 mph at times.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Dangerous heat will persist through Sunday, with afternoon heat
indices again topping 100 degrees.

While details are much more uncertain, if storms are able to develop
late Sunday or Sunday night, a few strong to severe storms will be
possible.

Spotter activation may be needed between 8 PM and 2 AM tonight.
