While severe weather is not expected, some patchy heavy rain will be possible. The better chance for heavier rain, amounting to 1 to 3 inches in a short period of time, will be roughly between interstate 90 and the Missouri River in southeast South Dakota then into northwest Iowa. This amount of rain, due to saturated ground, could cause some localized streams and creeks to overflow as well as some street flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Additional chances for showers and thunderstorms will occur over the weekend.
