Heading into northwestern IA, a warmer day is ahead as high top out in the mid 80s for the day. As mixing continues to increase, should see smoke dispersal rates improve and westerly surface winds gradually strengthen. The main question is how quickly winds will turn to the southwest and further strengthen, my current guess is somewhere around 1-2 pm. Nonetheless, should remain mostly dry with relative humidity values around 20-30 percent this afternoon. Lastly, next chances for rain will likely come overnight into Saturday morning. .TODAY...
