The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* Until 1245 AM MST /145 AM MDT/.

* At 1215 AM MST /115 AM MDT/, severe thunderstorms were located
  along a line from 8 miles south of Sand Hill Petroglyphs to 10
  miles northwest of Wahweap, or along a line from 32 miles southwest
  of Page to 15 miles northwest of Page, moving northwest at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Page, LeChee, Bitter Springs, Page Municipal Airport, Trapeze Cove,
  Antelope Point Marina, Coppermine, Glen Canyon Dam, Cliff Dwellers,
  Jacob Lake, Marble Canyon Airport, Jackass Canyon, Marble Canyon,
  Antelope Pass Overlook, Horseshoe Bend, Sand Hill Petroglyphs,
  White Pocket and Wahweap.

This includes the following highways...
U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 521 and 556. State Route 67
between mile markers 580 and 582. the Colorado River between river
miles 0 and 22. U.S. Highway 89A between mile markers 524 and 592.
State Route 98 between mile markers 548 and 549.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Jacob Lake Campground, Lee`s Ferry Campground, Lees Ferry Campground,
Page Lake Powell Campground, Paria Beach Camp Site, Opposite
Cathedral Camp Site, Cathedral Wash Camp Site, Jackass Camp Site,
Badger Camp Site, Sandbar Camp Site, Soap Creek Camp Site, Browns
Inscription Camp Site, Sheer Wall Camp Site, Hot Na Na Camp Site,
House Rock Camp Site, 18 Mile Wash Camp Site, 18 Mile Ledges Camp
Site, Upper North Canyon Camp Site, Lower North Canyon Camp Site,
Navajo Pinnacle Camp Site, Ropes Trail Camp Site, Ferry Swale Camp
Site, Twin Stripes Camp Site and Lees Ferry Camp Site.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.

Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or
lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover.
Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.

If on or near Lake Powell, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
