...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT YAVAPAI COUNTY UNTIL
530 PM MST...

At 501 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from 9 miles southeast of Childs Power Plant
to over Oxbow Estates, or extending from 16 miles west of Payson to
5 miles south of Payson, moving north at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Payson, East Verde Estates, Oxbow Estates, Payson Airport, Pine,
  Mazatzal Peak, Flowing Springs, Rye, Round Valley, Mesa Del
  Caballo, Freedom Acres, Tonto Natural Bridge State Park, Fort
  McDonald and Payson Rodeo Grounds.

This includes the following highways...
State Route 260 between mile markers 252 and 254.
State Route 87 southbound between mile markers 241 and 251.
State Route 87 between mile markers 240 and 266.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Houston Mesa Campground, Rumsey Park and Green Valley Park.
