...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT THE COTTONWOOD AND JEROME AREAS
IN YAVAPAI COUNTY THROUGH 6 PM UNTIL 6 PM MST...

At 532 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cottonwood Airport, or 15 miles northwest of Camp Verde, moving north
at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Cottonwood, Verde Village, Clarkdale, Cottonwood Airport,
  Bridgeport, Jerome State Historic Park, Jerome, Dead Horse Ranch
  State Park and Tuzigoot National Monument.

This includes the following highways...
State Route 260 between mile markers 207 and 209. State Route 89A
between mile markers 345 and 358.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Red-Tail Hawk Loop Campground, Quail Loop Campground, Raven Loop
Campground, Blackhawk Loop Campground and Cooper`s Hawk Loop
Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
