The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for Big Bug Creek and the Agua Fria River in
  Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 845 PM MST.

* At 640 PM MST, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area leading to flash
  flooding along Big Bug Creek. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain
  have fallen and showers continue to impact the area. Additional
  rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned
  area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly along
  Big Bug Creek, the Aqua Fria River and surrounding drainages.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets
           and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Prescott Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Mayer, Spring Valley, Cordes
  Lakes, Agua Fria National Monument, Poland Junction, Cordes
  Junction and Arcosanti.

This includes the following highways...
State Route 69 between mile markers 263 and 284.
Interstate 17 between mile markers 261 and 267.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Ash Creek, Lynx Creek, Big Bug Creek, Little Wolf Creek, Antelope
  Creek, Dry Creek, Sycamore Creek, Agua Fria River, Cedar Creek,
  Badger Spring Wash, Grapevine Creek and Wolf Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will
become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could
become flooded as well.
