The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The Havasu Creek basin in...
  West Central Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* Until 300 PM MST Wednesday.

* At 842 AM MST, upstream river gauges indicated high water moving
  down Cataract Creek and into Havasu Creek from heavy rainfall last
  night. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell in the upper Havasu
  Creek basin Tuesday evening. Additional minor flooding is
  anticipated downstream into Supai today, with the flood wave
  expected to arrive in Supai between 11 AM and 3 PM MST.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding in and around the Havasu Creek basin.

  SOURCE...Gauges reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around
           the Havasu Creek basin.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Grand Canyon National Park, Hualapai Hilltop, Little Navajo Falls,
  Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls, Supai and Havasupai Reservation.

This includes the Colorado River between miles 155 and 159.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Campers and hikers should hustle to higher ground immediately! Stay
away from creeks and washes!

Foot bridges will be washed out in Supai Campground. Some campsites
will be flooded. Campers may be stranded in portions of the
campground.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
