The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The White Sage Fire in...
  Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* Until 745 PM MST.

* At 443 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain over the White Sage Fire. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of
  rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1
  hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding in and around the White Sage
           Fire.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around
           the White Sage Fire.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Le Fevre Overlook, Jacob Lake, Condor Viewing Site and Vermilion
  Cliffs National Monument.

This includes U.S. Highway 89A between mile markers 570 and 595.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  House Rock Wash, Rock Canyon, Johnson Wash, Coyote Wash, Wildcat
  Canyon, Jacob Canyon, Kaibab Wash and Warm Springs Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and
ditches in the White Sage Fire. Severe debris flows can also be
anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in
places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to safety.

Avoid recently burned areas and downstream locations.
Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads, and normally dry washes
will occur. Rockslides and mudslides will likely occur in steep
terrain.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Normally dry washes, slot canyons, and creeks can become raging
killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
