.SYNOPSIS...Dry and warm conditions will continue through the
coming week, along with occasional afternoon breezes.

.DISCUSSION...Northern Arizona sits under a relatively flat
upper-level wave pattern, with dry, near-zonal flow expected for
the remainder of the week. 500 mb heights are forecast to remain
above climatology, and temperatures will stay a few degrees above
seasonal normals. Occasional passing shortwaves to our north will
tighten gradients and bring a few breezy days through Thursday. By
the weekend, ridging intensifies over the west coast and moves
through AZ. Light winds, warmer temperatures, and dry conditions
will prevail through the start of next week.

.AVIATION...Wednesday 05/00Z through Thursday 06/00Z...VFR
conditions are expected. Local haze/smoke possible from
prescribed burns. Southwest winds 10-15 kts with gusts to 20 kts
through 02Z, then becoming light and variable. Southwest winds
10-15 kts with gusts around 20 kts redeveloping after 17Z
Wednesday.

OUTLOOK...Thursday 06/00Z through Saturday 08/00Z...VFR conditions
are forecast. Local haze/smoke possible from prescribed burns.
West to northwest winds at 5-15 kts on Thursday afternoon,
decreasing to 10 kts or less Friday. Expect light and variable
winds during the overnight periods.

.FIRE WEATHER...Wednesday and Thursday...Dry and warm weather will
continue. Look for south to southwest winds at 10-20 mph with gusts
to 30 mph on Wednesday becoming west to northwest winds at 5-15 mph
with gusts to 20-25 mph on Thursday. Minimum RH between 10-20% on
Wednesday climbing to 15-25% on Thursday.

Friday through Sunday...Warm and dry conditions will continue. Winds
becoming light and mainly terrain driven less than 10 mph through
the weekend. Minimum RH between 15-25% each day.
