.DISCUSSION...

For your burn site near Fergus Falls, current RH values of
around 30 percent will increase above 50 percent around or just
after sunset. Winds will remain on the lighter side starting
around 10 mph before sunset, turning light and variable around 5
mph. While the forecast says south at 5 mph, the influence of
local terrain effects near Fergus Falls lowers confidence in the
direction of wind. With this lighter wind around and after sunset
also comes poor smoke dispersion as surface inversion begins to
build for the night. Also, dry air near the surface is also
limiting the potential for light rain over west-central MN despite
there being radar echoes.

Sunday will start dry with winds out of the east around 10-15 mph,
increased in the afternoon with gusts 17-25 mph. Late Sunday,
widespread rain approaches from the south, bringing a high chance
for soaking rainfall of at least 1 inch, lasting into Monday.
