...The National Weather Service in Grand Forks ND has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...North Dakota...

  Red River of the North at Fargo affecting Cass and Clay Counties.

For the Red River...including Wahpeton, Hickson, Fargo, Halstad,
East Grand Forks, Oslo, Drayton, Pembina...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message - Turn around, don`t drown. Don`t travel through
flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Red River of the North at Fargo.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night to Thursday, May 29.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Low-level dam south of Main Ave is closed
  (Fargo).

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Friday morning to a crest of 20.0 feet early Sunday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday, May
    28.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
