THE MONTH OF MARCH AT THE GRAND FORKS UNIVERSITY (NWS) WAS ABOVE
NORMAL IN TEMPERATURE AND BELOW NORMAL IN PRECIPITATION.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 29.6 DEGREES, WHICH WAS
4.2 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. A RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 58 DEGREES
WAS SET AT GRAND FORKS UNIVERSITY (NWS)ON MONDAY MARCH 10TH, WHICH
BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 55 DEGREES SET IN 1990.

PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS 0.57 INCHES, WHICH WAS 0.34 INCHES
BELOW NORMAL. NO DAILY PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE SET FOR THE MONTH.

SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH WAS 6.7 INCHES, WHICH WAS 1.1 INCHES BELOW
NORMAL. A RECORD DAILY SNOWFALL OF 4.7 INCHES WAS SET AT GRAND FORKS
UNIVERSITY (NWS) ON SUNDAY MARCH 23RD, WHICH BREAKS THE OLD RECORD
OF 4.3 INCHES SET IN 1955.
