...SUMMERVILLE NWR TRANSMITTER IS OFF THE AIR...

NOAA Weather Radio transmitter at Summerville...WXJ 72 on
162.450...remains off the air due to a recent lightning strike to
the transmitter. Technicians are working to resolve the issue,
though there is currently no estimate on restoration time. WXJ 72
provides service to the Georgia counties of Bartow...Chattooga...
Floyd...Gordon...Polk...and Walker...and the Alabama county of
Cherokee.

Alternate service for the affected areas can be received from
transmitters at Chatsworth...WXK 52 on 162.400...and Buchanan...
WWH 23 on 162.425. Weather information is also available from
weather.gov/atlanta.
