Scattered thunderstorms are expected across north and portions of central Georgia this afternoon and evening. A few storms may become strong, capable of producing frequent lightning and wind gusts up to 40 mph. Stronger storms will also be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday... Scattered thunderstorms will continue during the afternoon and evening hours each day through Sunday. Storm coverage should be greatest between Friday and Sunday. Widespread severe weather or flooding are not expected at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight. $$
