A Fire Danger Statement is in effect for portions of north and central Georgia until 8 PM today. Please contact local burn authorities if planning to conduct any burning today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday... Isolated thunderstorms will be possible on Thursday. A limited severe weather risk may develop in west central Georgia during the afternoon and evening hours. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) has been issued for west central Georgia. A stronger storm system moving through Georgia Saturday and Sunday may bring severe weather and flooding to the state. Severe weather is possible across all of north and central Georgia, while the greatest threat for flooding is currently across northwestern Georgia.
