Scattered thunderstorms will persist across portions of north and west Georgia tonight, diminishing in coverage after midnight. A few storms could become strong, capable of producing gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday... Scattered thunderstorms are possible across Georgia Saturday afternoon, but the greatest risk for severe weather is expected in west central Georgia between 4 PM and 11 PM when a complex of storms moves out of Alabama. The primary hazard with this line of storms should be wind gusts in the 50 to 70 mph range. Daily thunderstorm activity will likely continue in Georgia through next Thursday.
