.DISCUSSION...
Not expecting much today with some isolated showers and
thunderstorms popping up this afternoon and evening. If any occur
they should diminish shortly after sunset. Friday and Saturday
will be your most active weather days. Gulf moisture begins to
increase across the area Friday with a frontal boundary moving
into North GA Saturday. We will see scattered to numerous
afternoon showers and thunderstorms each afternoon. Best timing
for thunderstorms Friday will be between 2pm and 10pm. Things look
to begin a bit earlier Sat with the best timing for thunderstorm
development between Noon and 10pm. Right now we are not expecting
much in the way of severe storms but any thunderstorm that
develops will have lightning, gusty winds (20-35mph gust) and
periods of heavy rain associated with it. Outside of any
thunderstorms winds should be out of the W to SW in the 3-7mph
range both days. Temps will peak around 3-4pm each day with a high
of 91 deg Fri and 89 deg Sat.
