256 FNUS72 KFFC 121432 FWSFFC Spot Forecast for Unit 2A Planning...USFWS National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 1032 AM EDT Wed Mar 12 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1000 EDT on March 13. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... High fire danger conditions are expected today due to low RH. While surface winds remain southerly through today, this is not going to do much to keep RH and fuels from dropped as we head into the afternoon. We did issue an updated RH forecast and latest forecast minimum RH at the burn site is near 23%. RH values are expected to drop below 25% for several hours this afternoon largely after 12-1PM and lasting through 7-8PM. Fog development is not expected to be a concern for Thursday morning as cloud cover will be on the increase and winds will be elevated. The earliest onset of any rainfall at the burnsite on Thursday will be 12-1PM. Thunder chances will also increase after 1PM Thursday. Initial rain will be light. Any thunderstorms that develop during the afternoon are likely to result in gusty variable winds. Rain comes to an end Thursday night. Forecast rainfall totals are at 0.2" or less. Minimum RH values drop to 50% on Thursday. .THURSDAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (65-75 percent). Chance of rain showers and slight chance of thunderstorms late in the afternoon.
