.DISCUSSION...

Hot and humid conditions can be expected again today along with
scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Dry weather will
likely persist through at least 1-2 PM before thunderstorms begin
to increase in coverage. Some thunderstorms could become strong to
severe, bringing a risk for strong to damaging wind gusts as well
as frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall that could lead
to street flooding or isolated flash flooding. Thunderstorms will
begin to lessen in coverage by 8-10 PM. Outside of any storms,
temperatures will warm into the low 90s and heat index values will
peak around 100-101 degrees. Winds will be W at 3-6 mph but gusty
in and near any storms.
