.DISCUSSION...

A line of strong thunderstorms is moving across the state line into
northwest Georgia at the time of this writing, warranting a Severe
Thunderstorm Watch across all of north Georgia, including Douglas
County. As storms continue to advance into the state, they will be
capable of producing wind gusts between 50-70 mph, which will cause
damage to trees, powerlines, and even some structures. The line of
storms is expected to move through Douglas County and the venue
between 5-6 PM this afternoon, with rain chances tapering off
afterwards. Severe thunderstorms that occur will also be capable of
producing frequent cloud-to-ground lightning and locally heavy rain.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions
or concerns.
