.DISCUSSION...

Good morning, Nathan. Warm conditions are expected at the burn site
underneath partly to mostly cloudy skies, with temperatures climbing
over 80 between 11 AM and 12 PM and rising to a high of 88 in the
mid to late afternoon. Relative humidity values will be above 80
percent at ignition time, and remain above 50 percent through the
early afternoon. A minimum RH of 45 percent is forecast by 5 PM this
afternoon. 20 ft winds will be S throughout the day at the burn
site, at 3 mph or less throughout the morning and increasing to 5
mph after 1 PM. Transport winds at the burn site will be S at 10-15
mph. Mixing heights this afternoon will increase to above 6000 ft by
3 PM and into the late afternoon. Surface winds will become S/SE at
3 mph tonight and into early Saturday morning as the atmosphere
decouples. With ample low-level moisture, RH values will rise to as
high as 97 percent early Saturday morning. These light winds and
high RH values could be favorable for the development of patchy fog
around the burn site, as indicated by LVORI of 7-8. Patchy fog will
be most likely between 6-9 AM on Saturday. Please feel free to
contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.
