.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.
An area of rain and scattered thunderstorms will move through
portions of North Georgia this afternoon. Any thunderstorms will
be capable of producing frequent lightning, gusty winds and heavy
rainfall. RH values currently sit between 70-90% but may lower to
a minimum of 50% this afternoon -- particularly over eastern
Georgia where skies have cleared more quickly. Partly cloudy
skies remain through the day with mixing heights (outside of any
storms) topping out between 3.5-5kft. Winds remain out of the
northwest at 5-10 MPH, become light at less than 5 MPH tonight,
then pick up from the northeast at 5-10 MPH by Tuesday morning.
Depending on how showers and thunderstorms evolve this afternoon,
activity may linger in some places overnight.
