.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values remain outside of critical thresholds.
Afternoon min RHs today will fall between 40 and 60%. The
northeastern Fire Zones will see the highest min RH values while
our central zones fall into the 40s. Winds will be light and
variable for most of the day with the occasional gust out of the
east. Transport winds will struggle to get above 5 mph along and
north of I-85; with values across the central zones around 10 mph
during the afternoon.
Best chances for thunderstorms will likely be along the GA/TN
border and the northern most districts during the afternoon. Most
zones will see less than a tenth of an inch, but a few isolated
areas could see up to an inch of additional rainfall in the
mountains where storms are strongest.
