.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values remain outside of critical thresholds.
Moisture continues to increase across north and central Georgia
today keeping Min RHs well into the upper 40s and low 50s.
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected during the
afternoon and evening across all of the fire zones. A line of
thunderstorms with the potential for damaging winds could impact
the northern zones late this evening and into the overnight
hours.
Temperatures will continue to rise through the rest of the week
into the mid to upper 90s. Heat Index values in the triple digits
and a heat advisory may be needed for the southern zones
including the Oconee National Forest as early as Thursday.
