.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the area
this afternoon, with chances between 30-50 percent in areas along
and south of I-20 and 15-30 percent in areas to the north. Precip
will remain across portions of far north Georgia tonight into
Saturday morning as a frontal boundary approached the northern
state line. Coverage of showers and thunderstorms are expected to
become more widespread on Saturday, especially in the afternoon.
Minimum RH values this afternoon will range from 45-55 percent in
north Georgia and 50-60 percent in central Georgia. Light and
variable winds in the early morning will become S to SW at
4-8 mph by mid-morning and through the afternoon. On Saturday,
minimum RH values will range from 65-75 percent in north Georgia
and 55-65 percent in central Georgia. Winds on Saturday will be
SW at 5-10 mph.
