.DISCUSSION...
A Fire Danger Statement is in effect through 8PM this evening for
portions of north Georgia including the Chattahoochee National
Forest.
Another dry day expected with clear skies. 20 ft winds will be SW
at 8 to 14 mph with some gusts approaching 20 mph possible. RHs
during the afternoon should drop quickly, with all of north and
central Georgia forecast to drop into the 20s, and some lower RHs
than are currently forecast may be possible if dry air mixes down
more efficiently. Strong mixing heights will develop during the
afternoon at 5-6 kft with transport winds of 12-18 mph from the
SW. This should make for great ventilation and good dispersion
conditions with ADI values rising into the 50s, 60s, and even a
few 70s.
