.DISCUSSION...
No significant fire weather conditions are expected in north or central
Georgia through Friday. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will
occur today and tonight, with rainfall amounts in the 0.10 to 1.00
inch range most likely. Isolated totals over 4 inches are possible
in north Georgia. Additional shower and thunderstorm activity is
expected Thursday and Friday, though coverage will be more
limited. The rainfall will keep fuels wet and limit the fire risk.
Minimum afternoon relative humidity values will be at or above 55
percent through Friday. West or northwest winds in the 3 to 9 mph
range are expected Thursday afternoon. Then on Friday winds will
be light and variable at 6 mph or less.
