.DISCUSSION...
A Fire Danger Statement is in effect for most of northern and central
Georgia. Afternoon relative humidities are expected to fall below
25%. Critical Fire Weather conditions are expected.
Dry conditions prevail again today with minimum relative humidity values
in the 15 to 30% range across northern and central Georgia. Winds
will be from the south at 4 to 10 mph with gusts up to 18 mph possible
in northwest Georgia. Very light rain (0.10 inches or less) is expected
in the mountains of north Georgia tonight. By Wednesday the region should
see minimum relative humidity values return to the 45 to 60% range with
winds out of the west at 4 to 8 mph.
