.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time.
Winds and relative humidity values will remain outside of critical
thresholds.
Generally pleasant conditions are expected across the fire zones for
this afternoon. Plenty of cloud coverage will keep RH`s on the high
side, with min RH falling to only the low 60s this afternoon. Winds
will be out of the NE at less than 10 mph. A few scattered showers
and thunderstorms are possible in the NE Georgia mountains this
afternoon. A few stray thunderstorms are possible in the SE zones as
well along the interaction with the sea breeze. The chance for a
wetting rain in either case remains on the low side but after all
the rain we`ve received in the past week, current fuel conditions
are what can be expected for late summer.
As we move into the weekend, rain chances will slowly start to
increase from south to north with some areas seeing an additional 1-
2" of rain by Monday.
