Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia

.DISCUSSION...

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and wind speeds remain outside of
critical thresholds.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast across portions
of central Georgia this afternoon and evening. Any storms that
develop should diminish shortly after sunset. Higher rain chances
are expected Friday afternoon and evening, with chances between
60-70 percent along and south of I-20 and 40-60 percent to the
north. Minimum RH values this afternoon will be lowest in the far
northwest corner of the area, ranging from 40-45 percent.
Elsewhere across the area, minimum RH values will range from
45-55 percent. Winds this morning will be light and variable,
then becoming 4-8 mph this afternoon, from SE in central Georgia
and SW in north Georgia. Minimum RH values will be slightly
higher across the area on Friday, ranging from 50-60 percent.
Winds on Friday will be SW at 5-10 mph.
