Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. The parking lot and the Oconee River Greenway Park just downstream from the bridge will be completely flooded with water several feet deep.
