...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...

  Oconee River near Oconee affecting Johnson, Wilkinson and
  Washington Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Oconee River near Oconee.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 18 feet, The water level begins to flood portions of
  the dirt parking lot area near the Old Balls Ferry Road boat
  ramp...just upstream and rightbank from the Georgia Highway 57
  bridge. Minor flooding continues in the woodlands near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:15 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 18.3 feet and falling.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this evening and continue falling to 9.3 feet Thursday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 17 feet.
