...KEWX Radar Down for Approximately Two Days Starting Saturday,
April 26th...

The time for the KEWX radar outage has been updated.

Beginning Saturday, April 26th, the KEWX New Braunfels WSR-88D
radar operated by the NOAA National Weather Service in New
Braunfels, Texas will be down for approximately two days as the
NEXRAD Radar Operations Center (ROC) will be on site to perform
necessary scheduled maintenance. This maintenance is expected to
be conducted regardless of forecast weather conditions to the
region.

During the downtime, the adjacent radars can be utilized in the event
of precipitation across South Central Texas. These radars include
KGRK, the Granger Radar, KDFX, the Laughlin Air Force Base Radar, and
KCRP, the Corpus Christi Radar. For direct access to any of these
surrounding radar sites, go to the following web page:
https://radar.weather.gov. A single radar site can be viewed by
going to the Select View menu option then clicking on Local
Radar to select a single radar site.
