.DISCUSSION...
Rain chances remain good today as occasional showers and thunderstorms
move over the city of Leander and surrounding areas. The main
concern for today will be locally heavy rainfall, occasional
lightning strikes and gusty winds in and near thunderstorms. High
temperatures today will be in the mid 80s under mostly cloudy to
cloudy skies. We should see a decrease in our rain chances by
late evening as daytime heating ends. Overnight lows will be mild,
with mid 70s in the forecast. On Saturday, we will keep a low
chance for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, mainly for
the afternoon hours. Temperature will nudge upward slightly with
upper 80s expected.
