.DISCUSSION...
Much warmer and rain free conditions prevail today as skies are
expected to clear out from northwest to southeast. Winds will be
light today from the west-southwest while minimum humidity will
range from around 25 percent in the Hill Country and Southern
Edwards Plateau to near 50 percent in the coastal plains. A cold
front advances across the region on Sunday bringing gusty north
winds through the afternoon into the early evening. The winds
combined with minimum humidity below 30 percent along and to the
west of highway 281 could promote locally elevated fire weather
concerns. However, the fuel dryness levels across the region are
above normal moisture and this helps alleviate the fire weather
concerns after the cool, gray, and damp past week. Southerly flow
returns into and through midweek with warmer temperatures with
humidity levels ranging from 20 to 50 percent. The next front then
looks to approach sometime into early Friday.
