FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY...
.DISCUSSION...
Minimum humidities will fall into the upper teens and twenties
today, combining with 15 mph winds over the Hill Country and
northern I-35 Corridor to create near critical fire weather
conditions. The rest of South Central Texas will still be plenty
dry, but with lighter winds expected.
On Wednesday, a Pacific cold front will move across the region
bringing much drier air to the western half of the area. West to
northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts up to 40 mph
are possible through early Wednesday evening. Minimum relative
humidity values will range from 8 to 18 percent. A Fire Weather
Watch is in effect from Noon to 9 PM Wednesday.
Another strong Pacific front is forecasted to push across South
Central Texas on Friday with strong winds and low humidities. Both
Friday and Saturday look to have a critical fire weather
potential. More on this situation in the next few days.
