.DISCUSSION...
Light drizzle/rain continues along and east of Highway 281
for the rest of this afternoon and east of Highway 77 through the
overnight hours. Drier air begins to spread from the west late
tonight into Sunday, resulting in a warming and drying trend
that extends through the middle of next week. Minimum relative
humidity values may reach 15 to 25 percent over the western Hill
Country, southern Edwards Plateau and Rio Grande Plains Sunday
through Friday, resulting in potential for elevated critical
fire weather conditions as fuels dry. A dry cold front is forecast
to push across the local area Wednesday night into the overnight
hours. Cooler temperatures in the upper 60s to the middle 70s are
expected across South Central Texas on Thursday in the wake of the
frontal passage, however, a quick wind shift back to the south
brings highs back to the mid and upper 70s on Friday.
